Professor Katsuro Inoue was selected to receive the MSR 2019 Foundational Contribution award at Mining Software Repositories 2019 held in Canada.

Reason for award is as follows:

For the MSR Foundational Contribution award the recipient is Katsuro Inoue for fostering a vibrant international community around software clone analysis and the development of the CCFinder clone detector, which has enabled countless others to do research involving code clones.
