In the last few decades, the environment surrounding the Internet has changed drastically. Software is now supporting our daily life in every scene, from daily use such as photo and video sharing SNS, messenger apps, and schedule management apps, to things that require trust such as payment systems and electronic signatures, to life-threatening ADAS and flight control systems.

At the same time, the environment surrounding software developers and their social responsibilities have been increasing. The monetary and time losses caused by defects, as well as the social losses caused by defects in public services, may be incalculable.

In this webinar, Prof. Katsuro Inoue, who has been researching code cloning and code searching, will look back at the code quality that has been required in the past, and discuss what is required now and the future of code quality with Mr. Asahara.
